This show is actually really entertaining and sometimes enlightening. Two criteria to making the blog. How is it enlightening you may ask? Well Patty (that's the host and matchmaker) gives her clients little tid bits of advice. One of her wows as I call them (words of wisdom) recently was "the minute you make a guy work for it, the boys will disappear and the men step up." I thought this was really good and so true. Dating in this time of convenience is often confusing and even crappy sometimes. We live in a society where everything is about convenience. Example: You can do about anything you want from an i-phone (order dinner, send an email, schedule a flight, pay a bill, check your stock portfolio, make an appointment, set your dvr, check the weather forecast, etc... anything...almost...thinking about breaking down and getting one). So with all the modern day conveniences, guys have forgotten how to work for it when it comes to dating because they don't have to work for much else. If it is not easy, we don't bother with it. I am guilty of this myself. So, as I date more and more, I see the trueness behind Patty's bit of wisdom. The boys really do weed themselves out. They ask you out over a text... seriously, this happens ...and way too often. Or better yet, tell you how they feel about you... you guessed it... over text or blackberry messenger for some :) The real men still do it the old fashion way. They call, they ask you out on a proper date, even offer to pick you up. Yep, it is pretty easy these days to separate the men from the boys.
So random thought of the day, "When did dating become so complicated and can someone write an updated version of the rules?"
Until next time... Blog On!
